The TAC V+ air cleaner for purifying areas reduces intensity and time aerosol particles and suspended matter stay in the air, effectively operating directly at the site of installation.

The TAC V+ air cleaner for purifying areas is an innovative solution for creating zones with clean air that is free from viruses and pollutants – wherever these zones are required. A power connection is sufficient! Wherever this flexible air cleaner will be positioned: Depending on the required air change rate, the device will produce a purified and filtered “clean zone area” of up to 320 cubic metres of air.

In this treatment zone, the surrounding air will be prevented from germs, fine particulates or other airborne micro particles since the TAC V+ is able to perform large-volume air intakes of contaminated room air. All thanks to effective H14 HEPA filtration and a flexibly adjustable air circulation for the respective zone that will be free from aerosol particles.

In combination with the integrated F7 prefilter system, the Trotec H14 HEPA filter guarantees to separate airborne germs, viruses and dust, bacteria, spores or micro fibres from paper or textiles.

The mobile high-performance air cleaner TAC V+ (1) is characterised by a powerful air circulating fan and an efficient filter chain with H14 main filter and F7 prefilter. The air cleaner allows to create clean areas for passing and queuing, providing purified room air filtered from viruses for customers, guests and employees.

The air flaps are arranged in a way that the DualDecon blowing-out tower (2) ensures to purify the respective zone while distributing the filtered air into all directions. Moreover, the DualDecon blowing-out tower provides an extra compartment for the H14 HEPA filter.

Dual decontamination is carried out with the surrounding air being filtered from suspended matter, viruses, dust and odour particles on the one hand. On the other, the H14 HEPA filter is heat-treated in intervals which inactivates the viruses inside the filter. This technology for thermal virus decontamination inside the H14 filter is unique in the world and exclusively available only at Trotec!

The hose connection hood can be mounted on the TAC V+ instead of the DualDecon blow out tower. It has a hose connection of ø 300 mm so that the TAC V+ can also be connected to existing ventilation systems for clean air supply.

Because of the hose connection hood (3), decentralised air cleaning is also possible with the TAC V+.


Optional flowstop shutters

Flowstop shutters are also available as accessories for the DualDecon blowing-out tower. These shutters can be attached to one or two of the four insides of the tower. This prevents the respective tower side(s) from discharging air, e.g. if air purification is not desired or not required on the respective side(s) or if the device is positioned in front of a wall.

H14 HEPA filter

This special heat-resistant high-performance filter (4) developed exclusively by Trotec is characterised by a degree of separation of 99.995 % with particle sizes from 0.1 to 0.2 µm and corresponds to class H14 according to EN 1822. The efficiency of this filter ensures that 99.995 of 100.000 microparticles floating in the air will be effectively filtered!

The highlight is: Viral strains such as SARS-Cov, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 show similar particle sizes. Recent studies have specified the particle size of a coronavirus to 120 to 160 nanometres (0.12 to 0.16 µm). That's why these particle sizes can be effectively filtered with the high-performance H14 filter, especially because viruses in the air tend to accumulate with saliva or suspended matters, forming larger aerosol conglomerates.

A joint research project led by the Aalto University in Finland investigated the transmission of the coronavirus through the air. Taking ventilation into account, the researchers modelled a situation in which a person coughs down a shelf-restricted corridor typical of grocery stores. Preliminary results indicate that aerosol particles carrying the virus can remain in the air longer than was originally thought. A 3D visualisation shows a person coughing in an aisle between shelves in representative air current conditions. The cough initiated an aerosol accumulation that is transferred through the air along the aisle. It takes up to several minutes until the accumulation spreads and dissipates.

The higher the air circulation and the respective air change rate (ACH), the lower is the time viruses stay in the room air, which results in the infection risk decreasing. The number of the air change rate is also the factor for determining the operating range of each high-frequency air cleaner.

Stainless steel version for hygiene-sensitive areas

The TAC V+ high performance air cleaner is optionally available in a stainless steel version which is ideal to use in areas with specific hygiene requirements or especially reactive air environments.

The stainless steel housing is easy to clean and is made of the material 1.4301. This material has a very high corrosion resistance and is particulary resistant to various chemical solutions.

Even distribution of clean air

The specific flap structure and the vertical working direction of the DualDecon blowing-out tower ensures an even air purification process, filling all zones with filtered and clean air.
