The air cooler PAE 35 with 95 % effective HEPA air purification function is the energy-efficient alternative to mobile air conditioning systems. Summer, sun and sunshine – what sweetens our day on holiday can quickly become an unbearable burden at home and at work. When the room temperature heats up during the day and the air becomes stuffy, ventilation does not promise any relief against high outside temperatures. Then the PAE 35 HEPA ensures a pleasant room climate with a cooling air flow and fourfold effective air improvement.
One for all: air cooling, HEPA air purification, refreshment and humidification
The living space-friendly 4-in-1 air cooler in modern white design lowers the room temperature in no time with its natural evaporative cooling technology and 3 speed levels. On request, even with on-demand oscillation function to optimally distribute the cool air in the entire room. The cooling effect can be further increased with the cold pack supplied or by adding ice cubes. In the air freshening function (natural wind mode), an air flow based on a natural principle is generated by an increasing and decreasing ventilation intensity. The PAE 35 HEPA can also be used exclusively as a 3-speed fan without using the air cooling function. Besides, thanks to the highly effective HEPA filters, 95 % of the indoor air is freed from pollen, viruses, bacteria, dust mite residues, mould spores and other airborne pollutants. Ionisation further enhances the air purification. The result is pleasantly cool, clean and optimally humidified indoor air, with comparatively low operating costs. With a power consumption of only 85 watts, the PAE 35 HEPA consumes only a fraction of the electricity costs of an air conditioner.
Naturally clean evaporative cooling – without chemicals and annoying hoses
Unlike conventional air conditioners, the air cooler does not need any chemical cooling agents. In addition, the PAE 35 HEPA does not require an air discharge hose to a window. Instead, the all-rounder for combined air cooling and purification uses the natural evaporation cooling of the ice or cold water that has been filled into the device. This way, the heated room air is cooled down and blown out into the room as fresh cold air – via a fan that is equipped with three selectable fan speeds. With its impressive air flow rate of 250 m³/h and a generous 6-litre water tank with filling level indicator, the air cooler is recommended for use in rooms sized up to 20 m² or 50 m³. Moreover, the PAE 35 HEPA has a drying function to protect the honeycomb filter from mould growth when stored – simply press the “speed button” for 3 seconds. The device will run for 20 minutes at the highest level and automatically switches to standby mode once drying has been completed.
Mobile supplier of fresh air for every room
As an exhaust air hose is not required, the air cooler which is equipped with wheels and a carrying handle can be set up flexibly in the room or house. The device is operated conveniently via IR remote control included in the scope of delivery or via the intuitive control panel.
Coloured air quality indicator displaying the PM2.5 value
The three-stage air quality indicator of the PAE 35 HEPA makes the otherwise invisible air quality visible. In addition to the numerical display of the PM2.5 value (number of fine dust particles < -2.5 µm), a visual indicator with colour LED lights signals the degree of purity of the ambient air:

What is the PM2.5 value?
The PM2.5 value indicates the number of respirable fine dust particles with a diameter of less than 2.5 µm. Due to their small size, these fine particles are considered a health risk because they can penetrate deeper into the airways, the cardiovascular system and the brain, remain there and cause damage. As part of the REVIHAAP project, the WHO has come to the conclusion that fine dust can lead to arteriosclerosis, impair births and trigger respiratory diseases in children, among other things.

Increasing the humidity level to 50 % reduces the risk of transmission of viruses
Medical specialists have evaluated research findings relating to the resistance of viruses (e.g. SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), influenza) to air humidity. These findings have revealed that the humidity level has a crucial impact on the infectivity of germ droplets. Dry room air with a relative humidity content of less than 40 % lets tiny droplets infected with influenza or cold viruses dry up. This preserves pathogens so that they remain infectious for a very long time. In the optimum relative humidity range between 40 and 60 % aerosols only shrink so far that the salt concentration in the aerosol core increases, causing the germs and microorganisms contained to be killed. This minimizes the risk of an infection with influenza and cold viruses.
Medical specialists emphasize that we are able to reduce the risk of infection by increasing the humidity level in buildings. In this way, increasing the humidity level to approx. 50 % by humidification will reduce the risk of transmission. Moreover, the humidified air improves the body's defence situation by more efficient cleaning of the air passages and an improved immune defence. In modern buildings with a watertight building envelope, central heating and ventilation systems, these limit values can often not be complied with in everyday life without active humidification. This is where devices with a humidification function come in to provide assistance.

Hygienically clean air – HEPA air purification with ionisation
Indoor air is rarely clean and free of pollutants. Pollen, allergens, but also toner/fine dust and pathogens such as viruses or bacteria pollute the air and our health. With the efficient air purification function of the PAE 35 HEPA, you’ll breathe in hygienically clean air every day. When the automatic air purification function is performed, the fan speed and the associated air cleaning performance is regulated depending on the air quality and automatically keeps it in an ideal, green range. While coarse dust, lint and pet hair are removed from the air inside the prefilter, the highly efficient HEPA air filter filters pathogenic and ultra-fine particles out of the room air with a separation efficiency of 95 %. The air purification function is enhanced by automatic air ionisation. The air is improved by statically charging the coarse particles that are floating around, which will cause them to sink to the floor. The coarse particles are then sucked in by the airflow of the air cooler and collected in the air filter.
More refreshment through circulation – automatic swing mode
The discharge direction of the cooling air flow can be manually adjusted via the horizontal ventilation flaps as well as via the optionally selectable swing mode (oscillation) of the vertical air flaps. The vertical air flaps automatically move up and down, ensuring for continuous air circulation throughout the room.
Programmed for low electricity costs – 24-hour timer function
With the programmable on/off timer, you can reduce the electricity costs of the already low-consumption PAE 35 HEPA even further. The desired time until the device switches on or off automatically can be preselected in 1-hour steps from 1 to 24 hours. The timer function is particularly useful in the office, for example, to cool down the workplace to pleasant temperatures even before the working day begins. Or in the bedroom, where the device lulls you to sleep with a fresh breeze before switching off again until the next morning to save power. The device is also equipped with an automatic switch-off function that is activated after 15 hours.
For a restful sleep – night mode with adapted ventilation
Your sleep becomes even more comfortable with the night mode of the low-noise air cooler, which is particularly adapted to sleep requirements. To ensure that you can go to sleep and have a good night’s rest with pleasant cooling, the fan speed of the PAE 35 HEPA is gradually reduced in night mode and kept at a comfortable level until you wake up.
Natural cooling principle
In contrast to air conditioners air coolers do not use any chemical refrigerants. The cooling effect is generated in a natural manner. Moreover, neither an exhaust air hose nor any elaborate installations are required.
A mobile air cooler works on the principle of natural evaporation cooling. You know this from your own experience: Blowing on moist skin creates an instant feeling of refreshment as the evaporation process withdraws warmth. Air coolers work in the same way: inside the air cooler, there is a filter mat soaked with water. The warm air is directed from the rear of the device through the wet filter mat and in passing is cooled down due to the evaporation effect. The now colder air is then blown back into the room by the fan.
Tip for refreshment: the colder the water, the greater the cooling capacity. Placing the ice pack included in the scope of delivery into the water tank will further increase the cooling capacity. This additional boost of freshness can also be achieved with ice cubes.
The clearly visible filling level indicator shows you at a glance whether the large and quick- and easy-to-clean 6-litre tank still contains enough water. If the water tank is empty or not sufficiently filled, the "air cooling" mode is switched off after 45 seconds. The device emits an acoustic warning signal to indicate that the water tank needs to be refilled. The practical clips to fix the water container can also be used to store the 1.80 m mains cable in a horizontal position.
Can be operated all year round – air cooler in the summer, humidifier in the winter
With an air cooler of the PAE series you’ll enjoy mobile feel-good climate throughout the year. We recommend using the slim air cooler in space-saving design throughout the year rather than parking it in a storeroom when the summer ends. In the spring and late summer its individually adjustable fan stages can provide a fresh breeze so that you can enjoy the cooling effect of the cold evaporation.
In autumn and winter the device can be furthermore ideally used as an effective humidifier to create a more pleasant room climate. Since dry heated air can irritate the respiratory tract, dry out the skin and cause red eyes. Moreover, the multiplication of viruses within the room air is reduced at a humidity level of 40 – 60 %. By using a humidifier you provide for a sufficient humidity level and in this way can improve your own well-being in sticky, overheated rooms as well as prevent colds and virus infections.

Continuous fresh water supply to ensure a healthy air quality.
To automatically keep the water storage tank as clean as on the first day, we recommend using a SecoSan-Stick which keeps the water permanently clean, clear and free from germs or unpleasant odours. The unique feature of SecoSan is its antimicrobial surface with mobile silver ions, which inhibit bacteria and germs upon contact and thus prevent their reproduction. The entirely self-dosing SecoSan ion reservoir keeps the water demonstrably free from germs. The stick thus guarantees clean water for up to 6 months even if the water is changed or consumed daily.
Using air coolers as humidifiers during the wintertime
Air coolers are most effective in rooms filled with dry air. Just like humidifiers these devices operate based on the evaporation principle, i.e. they directly supply the air with cool moisture. This means that for process-related reasons the humidity level in the room is increased perceptibly. During the winter this increase of humidity is beneficial to the mucous membranes. As a result you might be able to avoid catching a cold that is largely caused by the dry heated air.
