Naturally effective evaporation cooling for cool calculators
The innovative honeycomb cooling technology of the air coolers PAE 60 / PAE 61 is something you know from nature. Once a breeze blows over damp skin, you immediately feel a pleasant cooling sensation. The cooling effect on the skin is caused by the evaporation of moisture. The thermal energy required for this is withdrawn from the room air, which causes the temperature to drop noticeably. All air coolers of the PAE series make use of this natural cooling effect with their cold water or ice water filling. Once the room air flows through the humid honeycomb filters, it is cooled down as thermal energy is withdrawn. Then, the air is humidified with cold or ice-cold water to be freed from dust, fluff and animal hair in the air filter afterwards and to be finally blown out into the room as an icy fresh air current. No chemicals, no energy-consuming cooling compressors and no disturbing exhaust air hoses are used in this process.
The hotter the day, the stronger the cooling effect
Unlike conventional air conditioners with coolants, which inevitably reach their performance limits at the highest of summer temperatures, the cooling capacity of the PAE 60 / PAE 61 even increases as temperatures rise. The warmer the temperatures, the faster the humidity evaporates inside the honeycomb filter and the more evaporation heat is withdrawn from the air. So you can always rely on the cooling capacity of the PAE 60 / PAE 61 to keep up with outside temperatures.
An unbeatable team: available in two colours and performance classes
With an air flow rate of 900 m³/h and a generous 40-litre water tank, the air coolers PAE 60 and PAE 61 are recommended for use in rooms sized up to 72 m² or 180 m³. Even more wind is generated by the structurally identical air coolers PAE 80 and PAE 81 with an impressive air flow rate of 1,000 m³/h, sufficient for rooms sized up to 80 m² or 200 m³.

Increasing the humidity level to 50 % reduces the risk of transmission of viruses
Medical specialists have evaluated research findings relating to the resistance of viruses (e.g. SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), influenza) to air humidity. These findings have revealed that the humidity level has a crucial impact on the infectivity of germ droplets. Dry room air with a relative humidity content of less than 40 % lets tiny droplets infected with influenza or cold viruses dry up. This preserves pathogens so that they remain infectious for a very long time. In the optimum relative humidity range between 40 and 60 % aerosols only shrink so far that the salt concentration in the aerosol core increases, causing the germs and microorganisms contained to be killed. This minimizes the risk of an infection with influenza and cold viruses.
Medical specialists emphasize that we are able to reduce the risk of infection by increasing the humidity level in buildings. In this way, increasing the humidity level to approx. 50 % by humidification will reduce the risk of transmission. Moreover, the humidified air improves the body's defence situation by more efficient cleaning of the air passages and an improved immune defence. In modern buildings with a watertight building envelope, central heating and ventilation systems, these limit values can often not be complied with in everyday life without active humidification. This is where devices with a humidification function come in to provide assistance.
Good climate for a fresher, healthier life
The effective two-in-one air improvement through air purification and humidification keeps the indoor climate perfectly balanced. At the same time, the PAE 60 / 61 supports the body's own immune defence in the fight against airborne pathogens. The spread of infectious viruses (for example flu viruses and SARS-CoV-2) is strongly influenced by the humidity level. A humidity level that is too low dries out the nasal mucous membranes and makes them more permeable to viruses. Optimally humidified air, on the other hand, strengthens the body's defences and thus contributes to a healthier life. As a humidifier for year-round use, the PAE 60 / PAE 61 impresses with a powerful humidification performance of 2.6 l/h to constantly keep the humidity level in the recommended range of 40–60 %. If required, the air cooler can also be used as a fan throughout the year without the air cooling and humidification function. To either direct the refreshing air flow to a specific point or to distribute it over a large area in the entire room, the device has an on-demand 120° swing mode of the inner vertical air outlet fins to provide for large-scale cold air distribution. The outer horizontal fins can be adjusted manually according to your needs.
Integrated permanent water connection for continuous commercial use
Whether for cooling or for air humidification – the integrated permanent water connection of the two air coolers PAE 60 / PAE 61 is particularly practical for continuous commercial use. The professional air coolers can be connected to the water line with a standard hose. This allows them to run continuously without having to refill the tank in between. The water supply via the hose is regulated fully automatically by a float switch included in the scope of delivery. The float switch and hose are child's play to assemble, no installer or tools are required.
Turns anything you've seen before upside down: great cooling performance, small storage space
The PAE 60 / 61 shows true greatness in the smallest of spaces during storage and transport. The upper part of the device can simply be detached with just one movement of both hands and inserted into the water tank upside down. This convenient storing function decreases the height of the device to only 70.5 cm, making it fit into a cupboard. The recessed handles on the sides are both clever and well thought-out and help you to easily and conveniently carry the air cooler to its place of use.
For extra comfort: programmable timer for auto switch-on and switch-off
The integrated timer function is as convenient as it is energy-saving and allows the PAE 60 / PAE 61 to be switched on or off fully automatically after an individually preset time. The operating time until auto switch-on or switch-off can be set from 1 to 15 hours in increments of 1 hour. The switch-on timer function is particularly useful in the office, for example, to cool down business rooms to pleasant temperatures even before the working day begins. Or in the bedroom, where the device lulls you to sleep with a fresh breeze before switching off again until the next morning to save power.

Natural cooling principle
In contrast to air conditioners, air coolers do not make use of any chemical cooling agents. The cooling effect is generated in a natural manner. Moreover, neither an exhaust air hose nor any elaborate installations are required.
A mobile air cooler works on the principle of natural evaporation cooling. As you probably know from your own experience, blowing on moist skin creates an instant feeling of refreshment as the evaporation process withdraws warmth. Air coolers work in the same way: inside the air cooler, there is a filter mat soaked with water. The warm air is directed from the rear of the device through the wet filter mat and in passing is cooled down due to the evaporation effect. The now colder air is then blown back into the room by the fan.
Tip for refreshment: the colder the water, the greater the cooling capacity. Placing the four ice packs included in the scope of delivery into the water tank will further increase the cooling capacity. This additional boost of freshness can also be achieved with ice cubes.
The clearly visible filling level indicator shows you at a glance whether the large and quick- and easy-to-clean 40-litre tank still contains enough water. When the water tank is empty, the water pump switches off automatically while the fan keeps running for air freshening. With an LED lighting up and an acoustic signal being emitted the device signals that the water tank needs to be refilled. There are 3 different options of filling the tank easily and conveniently.
Can be operated all year round – air cooler in the summer, humidifier in the winter
With the PAE 60 / PAE 61 you can enjoy mobile feel-good climate throughout the year. We recommend using the slim air cooler in space-saving design throughout the year rather than parking it in a storeroom when the summer ends. In the spring and late summer its 4 fan stages can provide a fresh breeze so that you can enjoy the cooling effect of the cold evaporation.
In autumn and winter the device can be furthermore ideally used as an effective humidifier to create a more pleasant room climate. Since dry heated air can irritate the respiratory tract, dry out the skin and cause red eyes. Moreover, the multiplication of viruses within the room air is reduced at a humidity level of 40 – 60 %. By using a humidifier you provide for a sufficient humidity level and in this way can improve your own well-being in sticky, overheated rooms as well as prevent colds and virus infections.

The entirely self-dosing SecoSan ion reservoir keeps the water demonstrably free from germs. The stick thus guarantees clean water for up to 6 months even if the water is changed or consumed daily.
Using air coolers as humidifiers during the wintertime
Air coolers are most effective in rooms filled with dry air. Just like humidifiers these devices operate based on the evaporation principle, i.e. they directly supply the air with cool moisture. This means that for process-related reasons the humidity level in the room is increased perceptibly. During the winter this increase of humidity is beneficial to the mucous membranes. As a result you might be able to avoid catching a cold that is largely caused by the dry heated air.
