BQ20 particle measuring device
Compact environmental measuring device for the detection of the particulate matter pollution, air temperature and humidity
In the BQ20 you have a compact and easy-to-handle environmental measuring device permitting the detection of all health-relevant room climate parameters with just one device: air temperature, humidity and – above all – the dust concentration in the room air:
The BQ20 simultaneously captures quantitative concentrations of airborne inhalable dust (PM10) and alveolar dust (PM2.5) the particle masses of which are displayed directly as mass proportion in µg per m² of air. Moreover, a colour bar indicates the current particle burden.
Furthermore, you can define individual threshold values on the device. When exceeded, you are immediately alerted by way of an acoustic signal. This is a particularly valuable function when using the BQ20 for the continuous monitoring of interior spaces. For such permanent applications the power for the otherwise battery-operated, mobile BQ20 may be supplied directly via USB cable.
The combination of measurable environmental parameters that is unique for this device class commends the BQ20 as an indispensable aid for the quick monitoring of the air quality at the workplace, in public facilities or at home.
Optical particle measuring device for the quantitative determination of the concentration of inhalable and alveolar dust
By now, many countries have stipulated statutory limit values for the fine particulate concentrations – for instance at the workplace – to protect human health.
Particulate matter is a complex combination of various particles and is divided into different fractions based on size. Dust that can be inhaled and advances right up into the nasal cavity is called inhalable dust. It defines all dust particles with an aerodynamic diameter of less than 10 µm as dust particle size PM10.
The dust particle size PM2.5 further comprises all ultrafine alveolar particles –also referred to as alveolar dust. These manage to get as far as the bronchia and pulmonary alveoli.
With the BQ20 these dust fractions can be registered as PM10 and PM2.5 according to the customary international PM standard; their percentage per cubic metre room air is indicated numerically on the colour display of the BQ20. The degree of air pollution is further indicated graphically via a bar graph. That way, using the BQ20, you can quickly and reliably draw quantitative conclusions about the prevailing fine particulate concentration.
A few practical benefits:
- Compact environmental measuring device for the detection of particulate matter pollution and climate data
- 2'' colour display for the simultaneous indication of all measured parameters
- Memory space for up to 5,000 data sets
- Direct conversion and display of the concentrations of inhalable and alveolar dust fractions contained in the room air stated in µg per m³ of air
- Additional colour indicator display with automatic acoustic alarm for the quick detection of critical particle concentrations
- Automatic switch-off
- Integrated tripod connection and stand
