Oil heater fans of the Trotec IDX-D series
Why our IDX-D oil heaters make competitors black out: best value-for-money ratio with outstanding design and versatility. The powerful heating solution for well-ventilated rooms.
With the extremely manoeuvrable oil heater fans IDX 20 D, IDX 31 D and IDX 50 D, which are outstandingly equipped in their device class, Trotec once again raises the bar in terms of economical heating of well-ventilated rooms and warehouses. And competitors black out.
Working at comfortable temperatures regardless of the weather
Whether they're working in a workshop, warehouse, production facility, agricultural business or on a construction site – craftsmen, farmers and employees in production or workshops have to do their work even in bad weather and icy outside temperatures. The most common problem here: low temperatures at the workplace caused by the continuous supply of incoming cold air. At changing locations, where cold air constantly flows into the work area from outside, for example through open gates and material locks or in windowless shells and on semi-open construction sites, conventional heating solutions reach their limits in many respects. All of these applications require maximum mobility to supply the respective work area with targeted heat in a quick and economical way and without costly heating areas that are not used.
Clearly a case for the mobile oil heater fans of the IDX-D series
With a heating output of 20 to 55 kW and hot air volumes of up to 1,100 m³/h, the black power packs enable uninterrupted working throughout the day – at pleasant temperatures and with maximum mobility. Thanks to their manoeuvrable and robust carriage construction, the IDX direct oil heater fans impress with an almost unlimited versatility, while at the same time causing pleasantly low consumption costs.
Great heating capacity, low consumption costs
The powerful 20 kW oil heater fan IDX 20 D requires only 1.9 litres of oil per hour to supply the workplace with 450 m³/h of hot air for well-tempered working. Those who require more heating capacity can choose the IDX 31 D with a consumption of 3.0 l/h at a heating capacity of 30 kW and an air flow rate of up to 750 m³/h, or the IDX 50 D with a consumption of 4.8 l/h at an uncompromisingly strong heating capacity of 55 kW with an air volume of max. 1,100 m³/h.
Suitable for drying construction sites, basements and damp masonry
All oil heater fans of the IDX-D series are recommended for quickly and economically drying damp masonry – for example after heavy rainfall, storms, floods or pipe bursts – due to their enormous heating air volume and simultaneously low oil consumption.

IDX direct oil heater fan – 100 % heating power for well-ventilated work areas
The directly fired oil heaters of the IDX-D series are recommended for economical use in well-ventilated indoor spaces, as they provide 100 % of the produced heat for heating the work area without any loss of power. This is why direct oil heater fans have no flue pipe, as is the case with indirectly fired oil heater fans, where part of the heat escapes into the open air via an exhaust air hose.
In other words, this process yields a heating power efficiency of 100 % – which is ideal, for example, if you wish to heat well-ventilated halls, stables or roofed over outdoor areas quickly and effectively.
In a directly heated system the fan blowing out the heated air also brings along combustion air.
First, the fuel is atomised, ignited and burned in the combustion chamber. Then the hot gases are admixed to the main air current of the fan in accurate proportions and blown out into the room.
In addition to heat, direct heaters thus also emit combustion gases directly into the room. For this reason, they are unsuitable for poorly ventilated, closed rooms used by people or animals.
Since plenty of moisture is released during combustion, direct heaters should never be used for construction drying.
