Pyrometer TP10

Professional infrared thermometer employing multi-point laser technology – extremely versatile

The professional pyrometer TP10 combines precise measuring technology, flexible application possibilities and a multitude of sophisticated measuring functions with easy handling characteristics and an excellent value-for-money ratio in one premium-quality high-end pyrometer.

Whether safe diagnosis and maintenance of heating, air-conditioning and ventilation installations or extensive maintenance tasks in the industrial and craft sector – thanks to the large temperature measuring range from -50 °C to +1,850 °C, the high optical resolution of 75:1, the freely adjustable degree of emission and the manifold technical equipment features, this precision infrared thermometer is also ideally suited for complex and demanding measuring tasks during maintenance, inspection, analysis or documentation.

Owing to the high distance factor the TP10 can be used for precise surface temperature measurements even at very small components and far-away objects.

The integrated data logger function to capture and save up to 30 measuring points e.g. enables a simple tracing of inspection paths.

During every measurement, maximum, minimum, average and differential value are automatically determined and displayed in addition to the current measured value via function call.

For non-stop measuring the TP10 can further be fixed to a tripod.

Combined infrared and contact temperature measurement

The miniature contact pin of the TP10 enhances the possible applications by additional contact temperature measurements with the type K contact sensor included in the scope of delivery or all third-party temperature probes of the same construction type. This way, you can even measure the temperature of non-corrosive fluids.

For battery-saving power supply, the TP10 can be operated directly at the USB port of your computer using the connecting cable included in the scope of delivery. With the USB function it further provides the possibility for software-supported recording of measurement series in case of long-term temperature profile measurements of mechanical or climatic processes.

Optical resolution in a nutshell:

The optical resolution (D:S) defines the ratio of measuring distance and measuring spot diameter. With increasing distance to the measuring object the measuring spot also increases. The infrared thermometer calculates an average temperature from all the temperatures in the measuring spot.

The larger the measuring spot, the less precise is the measured result. And vice versa: the higher the optical resolution of the pyrometer, the smaller the measuring spot and the more precise the measurement.

With switched on background illumination the display of the TP10 will be illuminated in green. If the alarm function is activated and the measured value falls below the alarm threshold, the display flashes in blue, should the limit value be exceeded, it flashes red.
Backlit display changing its colour in case of temperature alarms
The TP10 offers a high optical resolution of 75:1 and comes equipped with a multi-point laser aiming aid that indicates both the measuring point and the boundary points encircling the measuring surface.

The display colour indicates whether everything is fine.

Alarm indication via change of display colour

The backlit green display of the TP10 can easily be read even in dark surroundings. The alarm-based change of display colour is a particularly convenient and time-saving function. You can enter user-defined alarm thresholds for measured minimum and maximum values in the device. Falling below the set limit value, the display will be flashing in blue, exceeding it, in red. In both cases an acoustic alarm signal will be emitted in addition.

Thanks to this intuitive colour indication you can tell from one look whether the measured temperature is within the preset target value range. Consequently, even larger areas can be measured in a timely manner without having to pay attention to each individual measured value.

Nine points for more precision

TP10 with multi-point laser

Making it happen with the innovative multi-point laser technology of the TP10: Instead of just pointing to the measuring target by means of a single laser or outlining the size of the measuring spot via double laser, the TP10's multi-point laser combines these two technologies and allows you to capture the measuring object both easily and precisely. Whilst one targeting laser in the centre indicates the measuring point, further eight lasers show you the boundary points encircling the measuring surface – thus permitting precise measurements in a minimum of time.
