Drying hygroscopic bulk material
Keeping powders and granules free-flowing by means of dehumidification
Varying and too high humidity values can ruin the pourability of powders and granules – and thus entail high consequential costs. In order for hygroscopic bulk material not to go lumpy nor to block hauling paths, the entire air in the chemical and pharmaceutical production must be pre-dried. Using adsorption dryers of the TTR series that's no problem.
A good dehumidification concept for hauling paths begins with the delivery of the hygroscopic raw materials and with their journey to the silos: Pre-drying the conveying air of the pneumatic transport routes ensures that powders and granules arrive at the silo in a free-flowing state. Furthermore, continuous dehumidification prevents conveyor belt failures and thus saves cleaning costs. The hygroscopic bulk material also has to be kept dry during storage by means of pre-dried air, so it continues to be processible.
Adsorption dryers of the TTR series for dry conveying air
In order to ensure the constant drying of the hygroscopic bulk material on all conveying paths, we utilize adsorption dryers of the TTR series for our customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. These dehumidifiers are available in numerous performance classes. With two separate air flow ducts (TTR Trisorp Dual principle of operation) they are characterized by an especially simple adjustability. Moreover, with their internal heat recovery and high level of resilience and performance of the special rotors they rank among the most economic dehumidifiers of their kind. Both desiccant dehumidifiers of type "D" – TTR 400 D and TTR 500 D – are as standard equipped with the innovative Duoventic air volume regulation.
Stationary and mobile solutions for pre-drying
The TTR series comprises stationary as well as mobile adsorption dryers. You can recognize the stationary devices in the product overview (below) by the 4-figure model numbers, the mobile devices bear 3-digit numbers. Hand-held measuring devices such as thermohygrometers and data loggers like the innovative DL200X complete the dehumidification concept and so enable constant monitoring.
